Due to popular demand we have re introduced our astrophotography nights...
These nights are very popular indeed and give an insight into taking snaps of the night sky. For centuries people have been trying to work out how the univese works and whats out there, since the advent of imagery to translate and interpret whats in the night sky we have been able to explore the universe with stunning accuracy. This night is a glimpse into that world with the emphasis on learning about taking really cool pictures of the night sky.
Dont worry if you are not adept at CCD imagery or if you have never tried this before, just bring your camera , lots of enthusiasm and let us do the rest. We will have expert tuition on hand to assist the learning curve and im sure in no time we will have you taking superb pictures. We may even be bale to connect your camera to the new telescope and get some mental images of deep sky objects. A night not to be missed.
Of course there will be lots of observing to be done as you will have full use of the observatory and all its kit, as well as me and the talented volunteers.
Log burning fire and sparkilng stars form the largest expanse of protected dark skies in Europe!
