The Victorian Cook tells how her kitchen would run on the build up to Christmas, the planning, preparation, the foods and supplies, the staff and their duties and then the day itself , an opportunity for the â€œbelow stairsâ€ to be credited for their work.

Hear Cookâ€™s own words. On Sunday there will also be festive carols and seasonal songs in the library with the Caedmon Choir.
