Wild Week at Belsay
Belsay Hall, Castle & Gardens
Sat 24th May 2014 to Sun 1st Jun 2014
11:00am to 5:00pm
The Wildman of Belsay is a character illustrated in the Middleton Family’s Coat of Arms. He was of great importance to the family and can be found in paintings and stone carvings, some of which can still be seen today in the Castle. To celebrate the installation of the Wildman statue in Belsay’s Hall, we’re going wild this half term! Imagine if a 'wildman' still roamed the grounds of Belsay, where would he live? Amongst the deep, cavernous Quarry Garden in a hovel, lair or den? Join artist den-builder, Chris Harman, as he’ll show children (big and small) how to build their very own den.
