This is an original 19th century menu by Scottish Chef Meg Dodds and was prepared for the first Edinburgh Burns Club meeting in the early 1800’s. Meg Dodds was a Scottish ‘Mrs. Beeton’ and was acclaimed for her Cooks and Housewives Manual of 1826 which made her into a celebrity chef.
